Watkins Pole Vault Camps – 2008

Here’s the information for the 2008 camps

Watkins Vault Camp – June 9-10

- General Pole Vaulting Camp

- Any boy or girl in seventh grade or older and interested in pole vaulting is welcome

- $100/ camper (includes both days, all campers must pay for both days)

- Camp includes – T Shirt, Lunch (both days), Six hours of vaulting (12/pit), 6 hours

Of drilling, 5 hours of classroom instruction, video analysis

- Limit of 12 vaulters/ pit group

- Camp for better high school vaulters

- vaulters must meet performance requirement in competition to enroll (12’ for boys,

8’6” for girls)

- Limit of 30 campers

- $130/ camper (includes both days, all campers must pay for both days)

- intensive individual instruction, analysis, and advanced technique instruction

- video analysis of vaults

- Vaulters Coached – 3 over 15’, 7 more over 14’, more than a dozen more

Over 13’, many more at 12’

- 2 girls over 10’ – 4 indoor state qualifiers, 1 outdoor state qualifier

- 16 Boys State Qualifiers, 8 All Ohioans

- Ohio Pole Vault Safety Committee Chairman

- Works at several nationally recognized pole vault camps

- Two pole vault indoor state qualifiers in 2006, 2007, and 2008

- Outdoor State Qualifier - 2007

- Coached two vaulters, one 15’+ and one 14’+ both All Ohioans in the past five years

- excellent speaker and clinician
