*Who can attend ?

The Lady Warrior volleyball camp is designed for girls entering grades 3-8 for the 2009-2010 school year. Camp will last from 9am-12pm

*Cost ?

$40.00 / camper

For a family of 2 it will be only an additional $15.00. Cash and personal checks will be accepted. Please make checks out to Watkins Memorial Volleyball. Campers may register up until the first day of camp. Pre-registration may be done by Mailing your registration slip and payment to:

*Health & safety ?

Each camper must complete an emergency medical form and Waiver stating that Southwest Licking Local schools and anyone associated with the school district will not be held liable for any injuries sustained during the lady warrior volleyball camp. These forms will be completed by the campers’ parents/guardians at registration.

*Instruction ?

Camp directors areTori Fedak, Holly Owens & Kaitlyn McCullough, WMHS volleyball coaches. They along with former & current WMHS players will be camp instructors. The Lady Warrior Volleyball camp is also in conjunction with the Watkins Athletic Association.

CAMP PHILOSOPHY

*The lady warrior volleyball camp is designed to teach the fundamentals of volleyball. For campers in grades 3-6 we will focus on passing skills, setting skills and the mechanics of serving. It is our belief that in order to have a successful volleyball program these are the necessary and vital skills to be taught, developed and perfected. In addition to introducing and exposing campers to the fundamental skills of volleyball they will play challenge games, competition drills and have tons of fun!

*For campers in grades 7-8 we will not only emphasize passing, setting and serving fundamentals, but we will also be introducing hitting techniques, serving techniques, blocking and various game strategies. It is our belief that campers in grades 7-8 need to be exposed to the various strategies and techniques that separate good players from great players. Campers will participated in challenge games, competition drills and have tons of fun!

*OVERALL IT IS OUR GOAL THAT CAMPERS ARE EXPOSED AND EXPERIENCE A WEEK OF VOLLEYBALL THAT IS FUN AND CHALLENGING. WE ANTICIPATE THEY WILL LEARN NEW SKILLS AND IMPROVE ON THEIR CURRENT SKILLS. LASTLY AND MOST IMPORTANT THAT THEY HAVE A POSIVITIVE AND EXCITING WEEK OF VOLLEYBALL!
